What are your business hours?
Business Hours: Everyday 8:00am - 6:30pm
Our season is March 1 - October 31. We open phone lines for Spring/Summer reservations starting February 1st. -
Where are you located?
Our venue's address is 5843 Dick Pond Rd. Myrtle Beach, SC 29588. We are located next to the Historic Socastee Swing Bridge in the Southern part of Myrtle Beach. We share a parking lot with River City Cafe.

Where do I park?
We have ample parking in our gravel lot conveniently located in front of our venue.

Are there a places to eat around your location?
Yes! We share a parking lot with River City Cafe. They have great lunch options and you can even get it to-go and eat at the picnic tables on our sun deck.

What are your age requirements for water activities?
You need to be 21 years old with a valid drivers license to rent and drive a pontoon boat. You need to be 18 years old with a valid drivers license to rent a jet ski. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to have parent or guardian sign for them in order to participate in any water sport activity.

Can we rent your entire venue for our event?
Sure! Just give us a call at 843-650-7003 and ask to speak with our General Manager. We would be happy to help you with your upcoming event!

Can we put in our personal non-motorized or motorized water vessel at your boat ramp?
No. Our property is private property. However, Peach Tree Boat Landing is a public ramp, located on the other side of the swing bridge to the left.

What if I accidentally damage your equipment while renting?
Please discuss with your safety instructor before leaving the dock if you are concerned about causing any damages to the vessel. Safety is our #1 priority. We inspect all of our equipment in the morning, in between rentals and again at the end of the day. If equipment is damaged by our customers, they are responisble for the repair.

Are there places to hang out while we wait for our reservation?
Yes, we have plenty of space with chairs to hang out and relax while you wait for your reservation.

Is there shade?
We have picnic tables with umbrellas. Those tables are first come first serve.

How do we buy tickets or reserve our time?
Please call our reservation line: 843-650-7003.

Where can I keep my valuables when I am out on the water?
I would recommend leaving all valuables at home or locked in your car. However, we usually can accommodate a small amount of belongings needing to be safe and dry.

What methods of payment do you take?
Cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX

Is tipping required?
Tipping is not required, but is certainly appreciated. The Captain and Crew will be working very hard for your safety and enjoyment. If they do a good job, a tip or gratuity is customary.

Am I going to get wet?
Most likely. You will be playing on the water and could get splashed. I would always prepare to get wet, just in case.

Should I bring my camera with me?
We don’t recommend it, because you might drop it in the water or it might get wet, but ‘Yes’ you can take your camera with you. Be sure to bring a plastic bag for any belongings you wish to take with you. And, please understand that we are not responsible if you lose anything or if it gets wet.

Do you have a changing room or bathroom on site?
Not yet. We are hoping to have that in place next season. For now, our wonderful neighbors at River City Cafe, Socastee have offered their restrooms to our customers.

How can I work at Island Adventure Watersports?
It looks like a lot of fun, and it is, but it is also a ton of hard work. If you think you can hang, you must apply in person. Contact the general manager to arrange an interview.
Cancellation Policy

What is your cancellation policy?
We understand, things happen! In the event you need to cancel or reschedule please read below:
Pontoon Boats: Minimum of 72 hours prior to tour departure, otherwise payment is non-refundable.
Jet Skis: 24 hours prior to your tour departure. Reservations made on the same day as departure are non-refundable.
*Rescheduling for same day jet ski reservations or tours is only permitted if our scheduled time allows. We need at least 3 hours notice to try and make those accommodations. Wakeboarding / Wake Surfing / Tubing: Minimum of 72 hours prior to tour departure otherwise payment is non-refundable. -
Refunds
All refunds will be returned via method of payment. Credit Card refunds may take 3-5 business days to receive funds back. You will receive an email confirmation for the refund. Please keep in mind: Once you leave our dock, you are responsible for your good time! So have fun! Unfortunately, once you have left our dock you are ineligible for a refund.

What if I am late?
No shows or anyone more than 15 minutes late to a reservation will be cancelled with no refund. Sorry, no exceptions. Arriving on time is crucial to keeping everyone's else's reservations for the day on schedule. Please be considerate of others reservation times and plan ahead. Be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your reservation so we can check you in and go over brief safety instructions. If you need to do anything to prep for your activity (sunscreen, bathroom, unloading car, drinks, etc.) please be sure to manage enough time prior to your reservation as we always try to depart right at your scheduled time.

What if I am a no-show?
No shows will be cancelled with no refund. Sorry, no exceptions.

What if I need to reschedule my appointment?
Sure! Just see the cancellation policy above and give us a call. Rescheduling for same day reservations on jet ski rentals or tours is only permitted if our scheduled time allows. We need at least 3 hours notice to try and make those accommodations. If you think you may need to reschedule, it's best to let us know when making the reservation.

What happens if it rains?
Our number one priority is your safety. In the event of thunderstorms at your departure time, you will have the option to reschedule your activity or receive a refund. If you are already on a water vessel and it begins to rain while you are out, we can not refund your payment. We are happy to reschedule the remaining part of your time, if scheduling permits. If you are concerned about weather being an issue, please check in advance before making your reservation.

What is your capacity on a jet ski?
Our Yamaha jet skis hold up to 2 passengers no more then 400 lbs total.

What kind of jet skis do you have?
All of our jet skis are new Yamaha VXC's.

Can my kids that are under 16 drive the jet ski if I am on the ski with them?
No. South Carolina State law requires all drivers of water vessels be 18 years or older with a valid drivers license.

What is your jet ski backcountry adventure like? Is it appropriate for beginners? Kids?
This tour is so awesome, it's almost hard to describe. Think Amazon jungle, off road Four-Wheeling Tour meets jet skis and water. It's a wild ride. We are the closest out of any watersports company to the backcounrty trails, so you get a full 2 hours of shredding, sightseeing and pure adventure. You'll see wildlife, pass old sailboat wreaks, and see nature's best landscaping in the most remote places of South Carolina's Intercoastal Waterway. You will experience flat, calm waters that will allow for incredible speed (if you so desire) or relaxing rides through the picturesque trails. We suggest only 2 people per jet ski on this adventure. Our trails range from beginner to advanced. Kids welcomed!

Does the instructions time count as part of my driving time?
No. Time starts when you take off on the water.
Wakeboarding / Wake Surfing / Tubing

How many people can fit on your wakeboard boat?
Our Super Air Nautique holds up to 6 passengers.

What is wakeboarding?
Wakeboarding is the sport of riding on a short, wide board resembling a surfboard. You will be taught to ride that board over the surface of a body of water, while being towed behind a motorboat.

What is wake surfing?
It is similar to, but not the same sport as, wakeboarding. It is a water sport in which a surfer rides a board similar to that of a smaller surfboard and trails behind a wakeboard boat, surfing the boat's wake without being directly attached to the boat. The wakefrom the boat mimics the look and feel of an actual ocean wave.

What is tubing?
Tubing is a water activity where an individual rides on top of an inner tube while being pulled behind a motorboat.

What kind of boat is your wake board boat?
It is a 2014 Super Air Nautique Professional Wakeboard boat with a built in surf system and excellent sound system, designed to show you the most fun on the water. This style of boat is perfect for beginners to the most skilled professional wakeboarder, wake surfer, water skier or tuber! Plan to have a great time by yourself or with up to 6 of your friends or family.

How old do you have to be to rent and drive the pontoon boats?
At least 21 years old.

What happens if I bring your pontoon boat rental back late?
Fees may apply for tardiness. Depending on that day's schedule, fees may apply. We try to understand things come up and you may be a few minutes late. Please know that we aim to make everyone's experience an incredible one. By returning the boats late, be aware you may be holding up other reservations that have also planned on their full scheduled time. Please be respectful of everyone's good time!

Can I bring my pets on your pontoon boats?
Yes.

My friends are staying down the river, can I pick them up on the pontoon boat?
No. Everyone that rides/uses our rental equipment has to check in with with the tiki hut staff at the front entrance. Everyone must be present for the safety tips we discuss in our brief guideline speech.

What is your capacity on a pontoon boat?
Our pontoon boats hold 9 passengers. Yes, babies and children are apart of the passenger headcount. *Please be sure to bring a life jacket for all children under 30lbs.

What kind of boats do you have? Are they covered?
22' Pontoon boats. They are all equipped with retractable Bimini tops.

Is there a cooler or ice on the Pontoon Boats?
No. Please be sure to supply your own.

Can I fish on the pontoon boats?
Yes! The fishing in the Intercoastal Waterway is great! Just be sure to bring your own fishing gear.

Can we drink alcohol on the pontoon boats?
